What it tests:

• Copper Ion Levels – ensures your pool has the right amount of copper for safe, effective sanitation without staining or corrosion

Why it matters:

Copper ions help maintain clean, clear water while minimising algae growth. Testing regularly prevents imbalances that can affect pool equipment, surfaces, and swimmer comfort.

Ideal copper levels:

• Summer . . . . . . . 0.5 to 0.6 ppM

• Winter . . . . . . . . 0.3 to 0.4 ppM (unheated pool)

Usage:

Tip: Test copper weekly, and more often during heavy pool use, hot weather, or after rain.

1. Fill the test tube to the 10 mL line with sample water.
2. Add 5 drops of Copper A (P-6367), cap and mix.
3. Add 5 drops of Copper B (P-6368), cap and mix.
4. Wait 3 minutes for full colour development.
5. Compare sample colour to chart for copper level.
6. Rinse tube immediately after testing to avoid staining.
